Jeff Schad – Founder
Jeff Schad founded Montauk Marketing & Design (MTKMD to deliver complex, impactful PR, marketing and web solutions at optimum value. With over 12 years of experience, Jeff is a proven leader in the disciplines of digital marketing, public relations, SEO, multi-channel campaign strategies, and marketing communications.
Prior to MTKMD, Jeff lead marketing efforts for Visual Mining and Jinfonet Software. He also worked at webMethods, Inc., introducing new channels to the marketing initiatives combining traditional and digital approaches to successfully market new events and digital programs. Jeff began his career at CNET, working for subsidiary, Updates.com. He credits his multi-hat roles at Updates.com for giving him the foundation to be a seasoned internet marketing veteran.
Jeff has also been a freelance writer since 1998, publishing over 250 works in print and online media. Jeff earned his MBA from Dowling College in 2000, after finishing up a brief stint playing professional baseball.
Nick Kost – Senior Technology Consultant
Nick Kost is Senior Technology Consultant for Montauk Marketing & Design (MTKMD). He brings more than fifteen years of programming experience to our firm, and is highly regarded for his versatility and ability to architect, build and deliver custom applications and web solutions. He also has 15+ years of database and network management skills.
Nick’s work has continually been at the forefront of trends, shifts and advancements in the technologies and platforms he has mastered. His work at CNET and GreenTree Technologies spearheaded what became some of the very first web-based applications ever developed. Nick also has a full web development repertoire, having designed and built custom sites for clients that incorporate ecommerce, dynamic content, flash, and multimedia. Nick works closely with Jeff to produce clean, efficient code that provides the framework for MTKMD’s search engine optimization (SEO) practice.
Nick earned his Masters in Computer Science from Marist College in 2001.
